“POLITICAL CORRUPTION: CHALLENGES AND MECHANISMS TO COUNTERACT” project was financed by the European Commission.

Transparency International – Bulgaria have set several goals with this project: establishing a system for monitoring and evaluation of expressive forms of political corruption in Bulgaria; building public consensus on the price of political corruption and the necessity to take measures against it; building capacity the development and implementation of effective mechanisms against corruption among representatives of political parties.

The project duration is 20 mounts. The main target groups are representatives of political parties, non-government organizations and media. The basic directions of project activities are: a comparative legal study of the problem of financing of the political parties, development of training methodology and a training course for the target groups. As a result of the research work on the project the book: “Political Corruption: Challenges and Mechanisms to counteract” was published.
