There are 4 days left until the announcement of the results of the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) — one of Transparency International most recognizable and widely used global indicator of corruption levels in the public sector.
The index is compiled annually and evaluates countries based on expert analyses and international studies that reflect perceptions of corruption in the public sector. The results make it possible to compare individual countries, track trends over time, and assess the effectiveness of anti-corruption policies.
It is important to emphasize that the Corruption Perceptions Index measures only perceived levels of corruption in the public sector and does not cover all forms of corrupt behavior. Among the issues that fall outside its scope are phenomena such as money laundering, tax fraud, and various forms of corporate corruption.
Nevertheless, the Index remains a key benchmark for the state of public administration, the rule of law, and transparency in government institutions both in Bulgaria and around the world.
The results for Bulgaria will be published at the INDICES section on February 10, 2026, at 8:01 a.m.
