We continue to build a community of active citizens who don’t just follow developments, but understand them in depth.
As part of our latest training session, we once again brought together people with diverse professional backgrounds. The participants learned about the key stages of planning, announcing, and carrying out public procurement.
Special attention was paid to identifying common corruption practices and indicators of irregularities, ranging from formal restrictions in the terms and conditions to patterns in the behavior of contracting authorities and contractors.
We also focused on working with data: what type of information is needed for risk assessment, how to evaluate its scope, depth, and accuracy, and to what extent it is actually accessible and usable.
Training sessions are not a one-time event, but rather a process of building capacity and trust. That is why we are continuing with new topics and even more specific practical guidance.
The second phase of the training will take place on February 27, 2026, in two sessions: a morning session from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and an afternoon session from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at “Shtrak” and online via the Zoom platform.
The training is part of the activities under the iMonitor 2.0 project, implemented with the support from the European Commission under the Internal Security Fund program.
A highlight from the training session on citizen oversight of public procurement: active participants and lively discussions on how to make the spending of public funds more transparent and accountable.
