Transparency International Bulgaria participated in a training session organized by the Agency for Public Enterprises and Control, which took place on April 15, 2025, at the National Palace of Culture.
The event’s theme — “State Owned Enterprises and Sustainability” — brought together more than 160 representatives of public institutions from across the country.
Kalin Slavov, Executive Director of Transparency International Bulgaria, focused his remarks on the importance of business integrity as an integral part of good corporate governance. In his remarks, he emphasized that sustainability in the public sector is achievable only when mechanisms for accountability, transparency, and an ethical management culture are established.
In the context of Bulgaria’s efforts to join the OECD, adapting to the organization’s high standards becomes even more important—especially for public enterprises.
We believe that through our joint efforts, we can turn these challenges into new opportunities for Bulgaria.
The participation of Transparency International Bulgaria was part of the organization’s broader commitment to building an anti-corruption environment and promoting good governance practices in the public and private sectors.
